Project Life 2012: Week 26-30

I am very behind on showing you mfProject Life, so I am going to do a few weeks all at one time. Since I am so behind things are very simple.

Week 27 has a 1/2 page flap to hold some extra pictrues. (and a warning ticket for speeding!!) There are lots of movie tickets as well, the weather has been very hot, so going to the movies is great for cooling off.

Week 28 is full of extra pages, we went to a dinner show while at convention and I save everything!
Week 29 is very plain and not many pictures-when you come home from vacation it takes a whole week to recover.....
Week 30 is on one of the smaller design pages.

Live out Loud

This is super fun summer gift! I found these fish glasses at the store and thought I could do something with them. I decided to leave them in the original bag and just add a topper. I used the the July Stamp of the month right on a chipboard accent. I added some buttons and a fun turtle image from the Footloose Workshop on the Go.

3x3 Friend card

For this little 3x3 card I used one of the wooden badge buttons. The trick to stamping on these is to stamp with a white pigment ink first, then with the green dye based ink. Because the green is water based it tends to spread, so stamping with white first is the key to keeping the image from bleeding. Get your very own stamp of the month here.

Monday, July 23, 2012

This week I am going to show you some cards using the July Stamp of the Month. This card uses the Soar image. I used sponge daubers to apply the ink in a random pattern to give it the multi colored look. For the butterfly I used the starfish stamp from the Footloose WOTG stamp set with clear embossing powder directly on the wooden surface. Then I used a sponge dauber again to add ink in the spaces between for the cracked glass look.

You can get your own Stamp of the Month here. If you spend $50 it is only $5

One Fish, Two Fish

We all know it, the famous One Fish, Two Fish book from the great Dr. Seuss. It was my inspiration for this Birthday card. I was thinking it would also make a great Baby card and gift, especially for those parent who choose not to find out if the baby will be a boy or girl. I used the Footloose Workshop on the Go Stamp set and Under the Sea-

Water Fun with a tiny Seahorse

A very long time ago I remember see Seahorses for sale at the pet store. I was surprised how small they really are. For this gift of bubbles and a water gun I used the seahorse stamp from the Footloose Workshop on the Go--but look how small he is??? I used shrinky dink paper!!  Below you can see size of the stamp and how small he got with the shrinky dink. (There is a shell there too, but I didn't use it) I used CTMH dye base ink's to stamp on the shrinky dink paper and then cut it out. I used my heat tool to shrink the plastic.

Miss you Like Crazy

For this card I wanted to feature the great wooden die cuts in the shell theme. I just love them, these are plain, but they take ink or paint really well! I just attached these to the card with glue dots. I stamped the sun using the Just Chillin Stamp set and then covered it with some glitter glue, it gives it a great sparkle.

You're an angel

I will be honest when I first looked at the Footloose paper pack from CTMH it wasn't my favorite. Now we have made it to July and you will never guess---I think it is my favorite paper of all the Spring/Summer sets! For this card I used a lot of great products. To start off I used a shaped card in 8x 3 1/2", these are great they come in a package with envelopes. I also used some Liquid glass with glitter in to create the water under the fish. I used the great stamp Under the Sea and I colored the fish with water color pencils.
