U.S.A. Banner

Happy Memorial Day! I hope you are all enjoying your day-
Today I wanted to show you a banner that I made. ( I used the July stamp of the Month from Close to My Heart, so this is a little sneak peek) For the letters I used Pacifica ink on white chipboard letters and then covered it with glitter and Liquid glass. Don't you just love how shinny they are?

Memorial Day Grill Master

It's time again for our annual customer Memorial Day BBQ at work. This time I am ahead of the game, the scrap book page is done ( it was for a swap! how cleaver of me to multi purpose) The picture doesn't really do much for how cute it is. I hope you can click the photo to make it bigger.
The letters are stamped to look like a table cloth, and I added a fun stamp accent. I used a pattern from the CTMH Magic Book-it has an interactive fold out for more pictures! See below.

Would you like your very own copy of this Magic Book? I am looking for a Hostess to book a home gathering for June 21st in Lubbock-I am offering a free Magic book for book on that date, contact me if you are interested.

Thank you, so much

I told you that I had lots of project, I am slowly getting them all photographed.
For this card I used a set of flower die cuts from Papertrey ink and some felt from the craft store. Right now my new favorite thing is Kraft cardstock, in fact I just designed a class using it for July.

A few thing to remind you about-National Scrapbook Day You and Me Kit. You can find all the details about it here.

Also if you earn it or you purchase it then you are invited to a FREE exclusive class. You can find all the details for that here.

Lastly, and most importantly if you have ever considered becoming a consultant, now is the time you can get your consultant kit for only $64.50-that is a steal. You will be getting over $300 worth of products for just $64.50 (subject to tax and shipping) Including the You & Me Kit! It's a great deal, new consultants are signing up in droves-if you are on Facebook swing by and take a look at all the new friends you can be making.

I love being a consultant, and you will too!

Little Journal

This past weekend was my last free weekend for a while. I spent most of the weekend getting cought up on all my classes, display boards and swaps through July. It feels really good to be all cought up. Untill I get pictures of everything I may be a little MIA from the blog.
I also made some graduation cards and wedding cards, I am going to hold off showing those till I get them mailed out.

Now for the project-I made this little mini book using the A tulip stamp set. The great thing about the stamp set is that it is $7.95!

Bold Colors with Kraft Cardstock

While at my local scrapbook store last week I saw a piece of paper that caught my eye. It was kraft cardstock with strawberries all over it. I made a mental note of how it looked, and then when I got home I went to work. CTMH kraft cardstock takes ink really well!!

This card was made for a Baby shower, but it could really be for any occasion. The recipient of this card is doing the baby's room in vintage toys. I thought the tricycle and the bingo card went great for that theme!

I remember $0.22 stamps. I want to say that was the late 80's / early 90's, but when I was that age, I wasn't paying too much attention to stamps...my focus was more on boys...ha ha!

Melissa email me at kabrown63@hotmail.com with your UPS address and I will send you your cards.

Ticket #9043

Before you ask-#9043 has no meaning, it was just a number I picked. But if you were making this card for an anniversary or birthday you could incorporate the year. I should have taken a picture of my desk after I made this card, because I made a huge mess for one card!! I had lots of embellishments and supplies out.

It may be hard to tell in the photo, but I embossed the frame with silver pearl embossing powder. Below you can see that I just rubbed the stamp pad over the frame (cut with the cricut) and then heat set the powder on it.

Next I wanted to add a button, one that was unusual. I dumped out the jar of buttons that I have from my great grandmother's stash and went to searching.

I wanted to add a ticket to the card, so I decided to create my own. I cut the base shape with the cricut and then used the small hole punch to create the torn effect on the edges.

Because a lot of this was cut with my cricut I went ahead and cut some extras so that I could put a few kits together. I will have these kit for sale in my etsy store.

I added a tag to each kit with a cut out chair that you can use for another project

Stamp cards winner!!

Home Sweet Home Chair

For this card I used on of the Sophia Journal spots. I trimmed it down and added to the side of the card for a fun touch!

The Fancy Chair

When I made this card I had a plan to make one chair stand out. I also used some paper piecing on the bold chair to give the cushions a little pattern. If you check out Jeanette Lyntons blog she gives some tips on how to give these cushions a puffy look!

The time out chair....

This chair reminds me of the time out chair in my friends house. Its a plain chair with no cushion, makes me think of punishment! I cut this little box/bag with my cricut using the tags, bags, boxes and more cartridge.

The striped chair

I think I will refer to this week as "chair week" almost all of the cards I will be showing you this week are from the May Stamp of the Month-Chairs to You. For this card I did some simple paper piecing and add some pearl to the details.

Royal Wedding Fever!

For this circle card I used the emboss resist technique. I stamped the flower outline in versa mark and the embossed it with clear powder. I then used the rubber brayer over the top with blush ink.

I added a glittery brad and a pearl to the center, cute huh?

I didn't think that I had the "Royal Wedding fever" but it turns out I did!! I was invited to an early am tea party. I as the day progressed I was completely enthralled the whole wedding! Below are a few shots from the early am tea party!
