Sweet little tags & Labels (Kits for sale)

Are these little tags not the cutest thing? I think the distressing gives them such a vintage look, and that's just what I am calling them for my Kit that will be for sale in my Etsy Shop.
Vintage Tag Sweet Treats Gift Tags.
(I will have them in my store shortly)

I made some really yummy candy for someone who is in the hospital having double hip replacement. Although I don't think they have much of an appetite right now, it's always great to feed the nurses so they keep you well taken care of.

Below you will see that I packaged it up in a couple of different ways-in a brown bag and glassine bag with a close pin closure.
Both times I stamped the dotted square from the Tasty treats right on the bag (when you stamp on the glassine bag you need to let it dry or use a craft heater to dry it.)
Supplies from Close to My Heart-
Colonial White Cardstock
Cocoa Ink
Blush ink
Bamboo ink
Desert Sand ink
Blush ribbon
foam tape
blush ric-rac
Assorted markers

Recipe for the yummy treats-
Salted Pecan & Heath Bar Squares
* 12 graham crackers
* 6 Heath bar candy bars
* 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
* 3/4 cup chocolate chips
* 3/4 teaspoon coarse salt
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil. Place graham crackers in a single layer on sheet. Sprinkle candy bars (chopped) and pecans over graham crackers.
2. In a small saucepan, bring sugar and butter to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and cook at a rapid simmer, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes. Immediately pour over graham crackers. Bake until sugar topping is bubbling, about 12 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate and salt over graham crackers. Cut into 2-inch squares.

Sing Notebook-H2H8 challenge

This week the challenge at the Heart 2 Heart blog was to create your own pattern paper or background.
I started out by pulling out a few random stamps and decided to use all of them together.
I chose to decorate a 7x7.5" spiral notebook that I picked up at the dollar tree several months ago.
The original cover was the other direction(with the spiral on the side) but when I decided to add the hanging trim I turned it the other direction. Lucky for me there are no lines in this spiral.
I added a plastic bird tag that I covered with paper, a feather and some more of that vintage music paper.
(I see a pattern here, birds and sheet music???)

Re-inkers & Plastic warp

ETA:I have an inbox full of qustions about this technique, I will try to post a video or picture tutorial this weekend for those of you wanting to know how to do it.

This week at the Heart 2 Heart blog the challenge was to make something using a technique. I had read about a project using spray mist and plastic wrap thought I would give it a try. Who know if this is what it was to look like when finished (never could find where I read about it). When I saw my results I immediately thought of alligator skin and this cute new stamp from Close to My Heart called "Your Great".
For this technique I used a piece of glossy cardstock and dropped some re-inkers randomly on the glossy cardstock(2 different colors). Next I laid the plastic wrap over the top and blended the ink. Then I left it to dry for a hour or so. I colored the alligator image with watercolor pencils and blending pen

Glitter Clouds-

I was finishing up a very special project last week that I can't show you just yet, using some felt pieces. Once again this little felt arrow ended up on my desk pointing up and I thought "that would make a cute little house". And then I got this idea to use it with the cute cloud paper from CTMH Splendor pack. It might be hard to tell, but I used some glitter on the clouds and they are super shinny!

I really had been wanting to use my new "Hit the Spot" Stamp set from Close to My Heart that I just had to pull it out for this card. To get the multi colored dots I just stamped the circles in grey ink (to help with the bleeding) and then used the water brush to fill them in.
