Chocolate for Mom

How about a box of chocolates for Mom? The tin comes from Paper Trey Ink and the chocolates are the little Hersey's Nuggets.

In the picture it looks very orange, but it is Goldrush, ribbon in Vineyard Berry(from Michael's)

My cards haven't been very "wow" these days, I think I might be in a creative slump. Maybe it will pass in a few days. Here is another plain and simple card.

Thank You

A simple card using the May Word Puzzle stamp and May Stamp of the Month. I used up the last of my More to Adore paper, I sure loved that paper.

Mass Production

I am make the invitations for our company party. I stamped lots of hamburgers and buns. I think the word "Barbecue" looks funny, like it's spelt wrong, but then again I am the worst speller ever. Thank goodness for spell check. Here in Texas it's spelt "Bar-B-Q" or "BBQ", I wonder how many people who get invited will comment on the spelling? I will let you know.

A special gift

Here is a planner that I made as a gift. I saw one on split coast stampers that inspired me to make this one (but now I can't find it) I created the covers from chipboard, and to protect them I used a page protector cut down and re-sealed. I printed all the pages front and back on my computer with templates that I downloaded and then redesigned. I used my Bind it All to put it together. I really think it will work well as a planner, because of all of the space. I know I have had planners in the past, but they didn't have enough room to write. Now I need to make myself one.

Cowboy boards

I pick these up in the dollar section of Target. I think the chalk board is my favorite. I am going to send one of them in for a contest.

Together

CTMH is running a new special Magic Moments, and this is the 1st layout I have done with the set. I enjoy the fact that everything you need comes in the kit. I also love that a level one kit can have embellishments on it.

More new goodies

I don't know what I love more new paper or new stamps? This color combo is just yummy!! I created my own background paper by stamping on patten paper.
I have something great to show you next week (after the person I made it for gets to open it) so check back mid week for a bind -it-all project.

Love your life

Sorry for the darkness of this photo. If you know anything about Lubbock, you know that the wind blows here. I have been trying all week to get a shot of this card, but it has been so windy, that it keeps falling over or blowing away. So today it was calm (only 25 mph) and I got the card to hold still long enough to get a shot. Unfortunately it was poor in poor light. (I think I would have gotten a better shot inside. Oh well.
The funny thing is, I am trying to learn how to make the dark edges on my photos(of people and stuff) in photoshop!!

Great to be 8

I think it would be Great to be 8, if you got a candy bar in your birthday card. I think it would be great to get a candy bar in your card at 32, too!! This is real simple to do, just make a pocket on the bottom of the inside, and you can put just about anything in the pocket. Like money, gift cards or CANDY!!

This card is just all around cute-
I used Photoshop to edit the picture, I love the vintage feature on the program. I have made everything look old lately.

Get well Pocket card

I made this card a while back, it's a papercrafts reject, and I think they rejected it because the pull tab is way out of proportion.
I just love the clear button and the 2nd generation stamping.

Wish Upon A Star

OK, here a card using the new booking set. Now that I look at it, I think I got the words out of order!! Or did I?? I also used the new "bitty brads". I must say I really like them, but beware don't knock the container by accident, they are very hard to find on the floor. (Wonder how I know that??)

Sneek Peek Birthday Cards

I have tons of stuff to do, but a box of new goodies showed up today, and well, I just had to make something.

When I first saw the May Word Puzzle stamp, I knew I had to have for this little pepper. I covered the darker red one with liquid glass, so it's shinny just like a real pepper!!

And then of course I liked the butterfly too. I stamped an extra image and cut it out to make the wings 3-D, plus I added some glitter.
Now don't you all just need this stamp set??

Dixie

Well, I have a bunch of different projects that I am working on, but nothing is quite finished yet. So you will have to settle for a picture of my sweet little Dixie. This is a favorite from a few years ago, she getting older and has lots of grey on her now.

I will try to get something done to show you soon.

A box of Chocolates

The patten for this box has been on my work desk for weeks, and I am finally getting around to making it. It is so simple and easy!! Jen del Muro is the designer of this template, so Thanks to her for the great pattern. You can find the instructions here. On a side note, I do think 5 chocolates fit better than 6, but I did cover mine with B&T paper. Give this box a try, and post a comment with a link, so I can see what you made!
"Let's go racing, boys" just came out of the TV, so time for me to hit the couch and enjoy some Nascar!

Two cards

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, when your in the landscape and irrigation business spring is a busy time. The last couple of evenings I have been too tired to work on much. I have been working on some things for submissions, and if they don't get in I will show them next week. I also am working on a techniques class, and these are two of the cards I have come up with. This 1st one is Monochromatic color and dry embossing.

This card is for learning about second and 3rd generation stamping plus stamping on transparencies.

I plan to work on some more items for the craft fair next weekend, so I will post those on Sunday sometime.

Enjoy your weekend!!

Band-aid tin

I don't have anything new right now, so I will show this from the past. I have been working on some stuff, just can't show you right now. This is a cute little band-aid tin filled with cards, envelopes and stickers. I have several of these and will be selling them at the craft fair on the 12th.

For this card I used a creative clip as the body for the Butterfly! I covered the bottom half with sassy strands to make her look fuzzy.

Here wings are from a large paper flower. I painted over the petals with pearl paint and the poured prisma glitter over the paint. Can you see it "twinkling?"
